What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including Visa Credit and Debit, Mastercard, Maestro and American Express.

Is it safe to use my credit card on your website?

The website uses the latest SSL encryption technology to transmit your personal details and credit card information through the order system. All payments are processed via PayPal, one of the most trusted payment methods in the world. PayPal uses the highest levels of encryption and data security to ensure all personal details are protected. PayPal shares with us your order and delivery details but none of your sensitive payment information.

Do I have to have a Paypal account to buy from your shop?
Not at all, Paypal simply hosts our secure checkout but you can still continue as a guest and enter your credit card information in the way you normally would.

Is my privacy protected?

We take your privacy very seriously therefore any and all information shared with Butterfly Crafts Handmade Emporium will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, disclosed or loaned. Any information you provide will be held with the utmost care and will not be used in ways that you have not consented to.


Can you make me a custom order?

Where possible we will accept custom requests depending on workload. We can customise cards either making you something specific from scratch to the colours you require or to add a particular greeting. We are also able, where possible, to accept custom requests for fabric products such as bow brooches or hair clips and similar, to use fabric colours or patterns if we can source them. If you would like a product in bulk such a soap bars then please do contact us, we may be able to assist. If your custom request is high in value then you may be asked to pay 50% at the time of ordering and then a balance payment.

What can I do if something is wrong with my order?

In the unlikely event that you have received the wrong product or something is missing, please contact us and we will sort it out promptly.

What if I want to return something or get a refund?

If you are unhappy with your item and would like to discuss a refund or exchange, please visit the Returns Page when we have outlined everything you need to know.

Postage & Delivery

How much do you charge for postage?

Postage costs are calculated based upon the number and type of products that you order as it is calculated by weight to give the most accurate total cost used by Royal Mail, all items are posted First Class. To view postage costs, add the products you would like to order to your basket and then proceed to the cart page, once you have added your country the postage charge will be displayed. As a guide, UK postage starts at £1.50 for cards and smaller items and £3.50 for soap bars and fabric bags, this is due to them having to be sent as small parcel. International postage is also available. All items are posted in either bubble envelopes, cardboard envelopes, mailing bags or small boxes.

I don’t live in the UK, can I still order?

Yes of course! We ship to almost every country, to confirm that we post out to you, add your products and go to cart then enter your address. Customers are responsible for any customs or import taxes that orders may incur, and we are unable to refund these costs.

How long will delivery of my order take?

UK orders are sent via Royal Mail First Class delivery (unless you pick another option) and so should usually arrive within 2-3 working days, although this may increase over the busy Christmas period. When placing an order you have the option to select Special Delivery before 1pm, please note however that if you place your order after 2pm it is possible that it might not make that days post, please contact us prior to ordering if your order is needed super quick and we will see what we can do!

International orders are sent via Air Mail and could take between 3-21 days depending on where they will be heading.

Custom Orders will take longer and we will let you know how long during the order process.


Do you have a ‘Bricks and Mortar’ Shop?

At the moment, no. Butterfly Crafts Handmade Emporium is an online shop but we do attend craft fairs and markets throughout the year, details can be found on the Fairs Page and keep an eye out on Facebook and Twitter to see where we will be next.

I’m a blogger and I love you products, can you send me something to review?

Answering this can be a little awkward!We would love to be able to send something to everyone that asks but we just cannot do that. If you really think your blog would be a good fit for Butterfly Crafts Handmade Emporium and you have a good online following then do send us an email to press [at] butterfly-crafts.com but please don’t be offended if we are unable to work with you at this point.

Can I feature Butterfly Crafts Handmade Emporium on my blog/social network/magazine?

Absolutely! We are always happy to sit down with a piece of cake and answer interview questions either in person or via email and we can send over high res images as required, just please credit them back to us and we ask that you always link to our website, www.butterfly-crafts.com

Im a shop and I am interested in stocking your products, do you do that?

We are always on the look out for new stockists. If you think our products will be a good fit for your shop then please do contact us.

Can you tell me where you buy your materials?
No, sorry. We aren’t going to share our business secrets and supplier information as it’s taken us years of trial and error to find what works for us.

Can you donate a raffle prize for our charity event?
Unfortunately we can’t donate to all of the charities that contact us as we get too many requests to fulfil so we have decided just to support charities that we have a personal connection with.
